A bit on Patrick:

Patrick is an ecologist from Kuranda, far North Queensland. He lives and breathes Australian wildlife, spending his work hours searching for threatened species throughout Queensland, and his free time doing the exact same thing. He lives on a bush block surrounded by cassowaries, catbirds and riflebirds, allowing him to experiment with his bird photography and capture unique images of our iconic rainforest species.

He will be giving a talk on Cassowaries and Camera Trapping (a technique commonly used in wildlife ecology).

You can find more about Patrick and view some of his work on his website: Pat Tomkins
